Book review: Fangirl

Hey hey! I hope your doing fine! I hope you have enjoyed my last couple of posts. Are you guys excited for New Years? Tell me in the comments.
Today in my post I will be doing a review on a book called Fangirl. This will be in the Fandom section of my blog. There will be lots more in the fandom section, this is just a part of it. I hope you enjoy my review.
Author
Rainbow Rowell

Plot
Cath and Wren are identical twins and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they're off to university and Wren's decided she doesn't want to be one half of a pair anymore. It's not so easy for Cath. She would rather bury herself in fanfiction than go dancing and meet boys.
Cath has to decide whether she's ready to open herself to new people and experiences, and Cath has realised there's more to love than she knows.

Review
The start was really enjoyable but as I started to read near the middle, I felt that it was being dragged out and then near the last couple of chapters it was rushed to the end. I wish something exciting happend apart from being drunk and stuff. It does have topics that relate to our society today and that's probably why I enjoyed the book. I wish it did go somewhere in my opinion but I know it's not a book that has all sort of futuristic or magic going on in it. I just wish something exciting happend.

Rating
My rating for Fangirl is 6 out of 10. It lost 4 marks because of the way it was dragged and the rushness to the end and I got bored halfway through the book. If it was made into a movie I don't think it would be very enjoyable because there is nothing in the book for it to become a movie in my opinion.

That's all for today's post. I hope you enjoyed my book review. What did you think of it? Have you ever read Fangirl? If you have what is your opinion on it? If you haven't and have read my review will you read it? Tell me in the comments and  I'll see you in my next post!

Outfit of the Shanene

Hey hey! I hope your doing fine. On my post today I'm going to be talking about an outfit I wore out to Dundrum. It was pretty freezing so I wanted something that would keep me warm but was also casual and comfortable. I hope you enjoy and sorry for the shadow that was my photographer Nuliya and her assistant Beatrish. These are nicknames by the way!

I got the coat from Dunnes Stores for about €40 three years ago. I was quiet surprised at how good it was coming form Dunnes Stores. It's still perfectly new and it goes with all my outfits so I really like it. And it's also really warm.

The crossover bag I got from Nuliya for my birthday. I don't know where it's from or how much it costs but it's a perfect size. It's from a company called Therapy. There's space in it for all my items and it's easy to carry and also that it's a crossover bag makes it nicer because I'm not the type of person that likes handbags. This crossover bag can be used as a handbag as well and it can be used as a clutch.

The red jeans I got from Penney's for I think €10. They are really comfortable and they match all my clothes so I really like them.

The scarf was a Christmas present. It's not my favourite scarf for winter because of the material it's made from but it does do it's job. I have to wear a scarf around my neck because I got my tonsils removed. I don't know if I have to but my mum insists I do.

The crop jumper was my mum's but she gave it to me because it's been in her wardrobe for a VERY long time and she never wore. It's really comfy and warm. I find it stylish.

The shirt underneath the crop top is from Forever 21. It's a nice shirt and it's light because of the material. It caught my eye because of collar and the cutout near the top of it.

Now the ankle boots. I got these when I went on holidays to Italy and these boots are the best boots I have ever worn. They are really stylish and comfortable. I got them in a shop called Shoemaker for about €50, and honestly it's a really good price for really good quality shoes.

That's all for today's post I hope you enjoyed it. These will be what some of my fashion posts will be like, but I won't be doing Outfit of the Shanene all the time as the time to take the photos and the weather in Dublin is not always that sunny and I have school. So I'll be doing OOTS during holidays or breaks. Tell me in the comments what you thought of my post and I'll see you in my next post!

MovieswithShanene: Alice in Wonderland

Hey hey! I hope your doing fine. So for my first post (not literally) I will be doing a review on Alice in Wonderland. These segments will be called "MovieswithShanene" because my last blog was called "MovieswithShanene" and I didn't want to lose my nickname. So I hope you enjoy my review.
Genre
Fantasy, Family

Age
PG

Plot
Alice has been having the same recurring nightmares ever since she left Underland, as a little girl.
She is 19 now and Alice keeps having them, her dad is not there to help her at night anymore when she wakes up.
While at her engagement party, she sees a rabbit. When she trys to tell her aunt and soon to be mother-in-law they all think she's bonkers. Alice runs off while trying to decide whether or not she should get married to Hamish, and after spotting the rabbit. She falls into the hole which leads to Underland. This is not the first time she has been here, but she doesn't know that.
While here, Alice reunites with old friends and is told why she has been lured back. Alice is in for a ride not what she expected.

Cast
Johnny Depp
Mia Wasikowska
Helen Bonham Carter
Anne Hathaway
Stephen Fry
Crispin Glover
Director
Tim Burton

Review
If you have a Tim Burton movie you know Johnny Depp is obviously going to be in it. I like the way it continues from when Alice was a child and as she grows up, not just another completely different movie. The graphics were SOOOOO good. I love it when movies have really good graphics because it makes the movie come alive. Quite funny at parts and also a bit sudden for some scenes. The last scene in Underland was so sweet and sad. The actors and actresses I thought were very well casted.
I did wish that the plot was a bit more detailed but over all I enjoyed it. I am very excited to see Alice in Wonderland: Through the looking Glass and see what the whole concept will be. It's set for release on May 27, 2016.

Rating
I'm going to give Alice in Wonderland a 4 out 5. It lost one star because of the lack of plot.

I hope you enjoyed my movie review. Sorry that its quite short, my blog posts won't usually be this short. Tell me in the comments what you thought of my review and what you thought of Alice in Wonderland. I'll see you soon.

Hey hey Amigos!

Hey hey. I'm Nene also known as Shanene, you can call me either. I'm just your normal teenage girl living life to the fullest. Once you get to know me I'm quite a handful, just ask my teachers.
At the moment I'm being a crazy fangirl, fangirling over Fandoms and teachers with my BFF's and my parents are trying to figure out what fangirling is.
I've always had a crazy imagination ever since I could remember. One time when I was seven I decided to take my mums lipstick and colour on the bathroom door. I am a very chatty and giddy person, and once I'm giddy, I'm giddy. I always have loads of things going on in my mind, good or bad so I wanted this place where I could talk about these things and let it all out. That's how "Shanene that's me" came about.

"Shanene that's me" is a beauty, fashion, fandom and movie review blog. Pretty much it's lifestyle blog about a teen girl. You can expect me to do tags, QaA's, reviews on books, movies and products, Outfit of the Shanene and much much more. I'll also be talking about issues such as anxiety or going through puberty and all those things, because it wouldn't really be about a teen girl without those personal issues.
I hope you enjoy becoming a part of my blog and growing with me to become one big family, because I am super excited for what's to come and to get to know you.  I'll see you soon.

Merry Christmas!

Hey hey! I hope your doing fine. Even though I haven't really started publishing properly on my blog yet I just wanted to say a Merry Christmas. Even though it might not be Christmas for some of you (like me). It's not really that late. Just remember to be thankful for what you got  and that you are alive and well because there are some people out there who don't even know what it feels like to be visited by Santa or get a whole load of presents. I hope you have or have had a marvellous day filled with joy and happiness and I'll see you soon.
